Interactive Slide Lecture
|
Overview
This Interactive Slide Lecture introduces
students to the period of greatest immigration to the United
States (18651915), an era that set the stage for the
industrialization and urbanization of America. In this activity
students explore the causes of this great immigration, the
circumstances under which immigrants came to this country,
and the immigrants living and working conditions. Students
will also investigate the changing nature of this wave of
immigration and the attitudes encountered by the immigrants
when they arrived in America. Students will accomplish this
by viewing and interacting with a series of ten transparencies.
