www.teachtci.com New and Improved

We've revamped, redesigned, and relaunched our website, www.teachtci.com, to make it a more valuable resource for educators nationwide. On our new homepage, you'll read about breaking news at TCI and in education, find information on newly released TCI products, and access complete details for upcoming TCI events.

As always, you'll find information on all of TCI's curricular materials and professional development offerings as well as correlations to state social studies standards, online resources, and much, much more. Teachtci.com is a rich source of educational tips and information that will help educators effectively implement the TCI Approach in their classrooms. Click here to check out the new www.teachtci.com.

Discussion Groups Debut on www.teachtci.com

We're delighted to announce the debut of grade-level and technology-focused discussion groups on the new www.teachtci.com. Elementary, middle school, and high school teachers can join discussion groups to share tips, questions, and ideas for implementing TCI in their classrooms. Our grade-level discussion groups will be moderated by teacher experts who are both classroom teachers and TCI trainers. Check out their welcome messages and chime in on their boards. Everyone is welcome to join whether you currently use TCI in your classroom or are just learning about us. Discussion groups.

Educators using our Digital Teacher Resources (DTRs) have their own discussion group for gathering and sharing ideas. Our expert teacher, Lisa Tait, knows the DTRs inside and out and will help you get the most out of this technological resource. Click here to read Lisa's welcome message.

Geography Alive! Regions and People and History Alive! Pursuing American Ideals

Have you seen the latest from TCI? We introduced the Geography Alive! Regions and People program earlier this year to the delight of geography teachers everywhere. With in-depth case studies and innovative Mapping Labs, Geography Alive! actively engages students and gets them thinking critically about controversial issues affecting our planet, like global warming and spatial inequality. Click here to find out more about Geography Alive!

Our Curriculum Development folks didn't miss a beat between completing Geography Alive! and beginning work on their next project: History Alive! Pursuing American Ideals. This high school, U.S. history program challenges students to grapple with truly big ideas. Built around five founding ideals drawn from the Declaration of Independence—equality, rights, liberty, opportunity, and democracy—History Alive! Pursuing American Ideals combines powerful classroom activities with a student edition text, all based on the proven power of the TCI Approach.
